The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I just negotiated on a name through a platform. Let me rob him is a hard thing to say, there is a reason why I'm not around here anymore as I used to.
I always give value, and get nothing in return.
It was a metaphor about you the buyer getting a good ass deal & him the seller not doing his research so getting a bad deal..

Getting robbed and giving something away for free are common meme phrases used when people paperhand assets well below their value even if money was exchanged. Wasn't tryna say you stole it in the literal sense lol..

You saw value and understandably did what any domainer on here would have done by capitalising. If nothing else, this will help those holding valuable Web3 / Metaverse names think more about their pricing.

Night\li.com, $1200, DAN
pal\art.com, $2800, DAN
pu\mp.co, $20000, DAN
explorer\card.com, $4888, Afternic

How many domains do you own?
My guess is that you probably own over 50,000 domains to sell 5 domains

Hello

I would like to know regarding documentation part of Domain Sale.

When we sell a domain through a marketplace, what Sale documents should the Marketplace provide to the seller. Sale Invoice and Sale Note? Do they provide these to seller by default or the seller has to request for the same. If there are any other documents in particular regarding this, please enlighten.

Thanks

Congrats @Elad n !! Awesome sales!
https://www.namepros.com/threads/report-completed-domain-name-sales-here.83628/post-8734800

If possible, I would like to know how these sales have developed and how the buyer has been in contact with you.
You said sell the domains via private offer.

With your permission I leave you with a few questions
- The domains were listed in the different marketplaces?
- Said that not have "make offer" or "BIN". Have a personal landing page?
- You had a similar price in mind for those domains before the offer arrived?

If you can answer any non-committal questions I would appreciate it so I know how your excellent sales worked out.

Thanks!

Inbound inquiries, personal landers.
I use carrd for some of my names landers like with MetaverseGames.com for example.

I don't have a price in mind.
My pov is that a domain is land and not a building/house therefore you can't put a price beforehand unless it's a very stable industry term with a known limit.
Most of my names are tech oriented so price is not the focus but the best use case for the name (land)

Good luck and hope I helped.

One logical explanation is that if you know your land has some kind of potential you would prefer to sell it to someone that will build a skyscraper over someone that will build a single house and I would say that if you understand someone is planning to build a skyscraper on it( land has value) you would ask for more that from someone with lower aspirations.

Thanks for reply.
A great response. Certainly a different point of view.

In my case I don't focus on any one sector and record a bit of everything names for my portfolio.
According to my statistics, I sell better domains with BIN price and make offer. I'm testing with personal landing in some domains similar has you have in metaversegames.com with only e-mail for info, but at the moment no have had major queries with this system.

@Elad n I've been going over your answer about...

Of course it is interesting, but I see some problems with this form of sale. I hope you don´t take me wrong.

About no have any price in mind and ... and so price is not the focus but the best use case for the name (land).
In this case, If you are approached by a potential buyer who, instead of 50K, offers you 5K and you don't know who is behind that offer, how would you act?

If the buyer is known and shows his cards, it is easy to set a price depending "on the size of the house" but if you don't know who is behind the offer without having a firm price for the domain, I think your way of acting is complicated because you don't know "what is going to be built on your land".

Lol, that's cool you do you.

For your question now.

Anon comes, say I'm interested but I'm staying anon, I say no thanks .
Anon says I have a startup and have some cash I say no thanks.

Anon says what's your price
I say please tell me a bit about yourself.

Anon gives the wrong answers, I say no thanks

Notice something here?

I'm simply flipping the page, I have the name so I have the power, as simple as that.

Not gonna work with bad names though 😂

Thanks for reply Elad!
Nice to see that you don't get angry for turning your words around a bit. I'm sure we all learn something for the next sales.

Anon says what's your price
I say please tell me a bit about yourself.

mmm... for me this would set off all the alarm bells at the buyer.

It's as if you would say.
- Buyer: I want to buy your land.
- Seller: Fine, I want to sell it but tell me who you are, how big your assets are and what you are going to build to give you a price.

It seems a "bit crazy" to me. I think, A good buyer would never show all his cards if he is really interested in the domain.
And the seller can say, if you don't show me your cards, I won't sell you the domain. Right, but it can still take 15 years for the next good buyer.

Show, dont show, i dont care.
U came to me, asking about my land, i want to know who you are and what you are planning to do because others are interested as well.
Is it ok for me to make sure i make the most so we have a win win? or you prefer to buy my land and let me discover later you are building a monster so ill cry on the sideways?

+He doesn't have to show all his cards, but the narrative has changed :)
