So... yeah. I admit it. I've been looking through some of the better patterns from 7N thru 9N. Yes, I have a problem. I know it and I've accepted it.

But I did want to point out that pretty much all of the "great stuff" is gone from 7N and 8N category already -- the early bird special is over. And now, the "early bird" for good 9N's is starting to show signs of closing... There's still some good 888nnn888.com's ... Which are gone from 7N and 8N.

Just sayin'. ;)

And for the love of domaining remember:
Patterns are good. No 4's and no 0's (unless the 0 is at the end).

WOW I didn't know I even created a category!!!
I'll let you know in a while

I mean it at least slightly piqued my curiosity ... I opt'd for 888QQ888, though. I think the triple 888 and double Q win over quadruple 8's and 1 Q. :)

Doh.

Fine 8888Q8888 wasn't taken. So now it is. :-P

What's another $9 anyway. ;)

Yes I have seen they were available but I decided for other characters.

Where possible grab repeating numbers and letters, they just seem to look more even, then throw in the China factor and you are seeking all the zz jj qq xx ww style of things, although the world does not necessarily revolve around China.

I understand your point and it took me 2 hours to study and decide what to register.
At the end I opted for common surnames and provinces that give me way more selling potential than anything else.

I bet it is!!!! That's a very good one

Actually it was a complete balls up, they were meant to get 888j888 instead of 888bj888 but my browser was not working well and I could only see two lines in my domain name section, somehow I clicked on the wrong and the transfer went ahead, then after a complaint I tried twice to transfer the correct name they claimed they could not see the transfer notice, i handed over my Godaddy rep's details but they opted to take a refund so I still retain the 888j888. I offered to leave 888bj888 with as slight compensation, hopefully it works out for them down the road. It gets awkward when things go astray!

You can't make me like it.

Not really trying to do so!!!

Could be said the single 'J' is a more exclusive category but the BJ sure was handy for someone in Beijing

I get the point. As I got them with a pure Chinese purpose I went for what I thought was more likely to sell.
Beijing has pretty much the same population of Australia so it shouldn't be hard to find a buyer!!!!

I wont share my private registrations but since these were purchased at NP's I'll share my 9N early purchases.

2 888 22 888
3 888 33 888
6 888 66 888
7 888 77 888

80 80 80 888

82 888 2 888
83 888 3 888

888 80 80 80
888 81 81 81
888 82 82 82
888 83 83 83
888 85 85 85
888 87 87 87

888YYY888
888YY888

And for kicks and giggles I registered these:

12N

888 999 888 999
88 99 88 99 88 99
99 88 99 88 99 88

I probably own around 25-35 9N right now. Hard to remember with all my numeric purchases lately. My wife is not happy with this :(

Don't know what value .asia has at the moment but found 888888888.asia available and regged it. I assumed its worth the $15 investment considering the "8" frenzy.

6 8888888 0
3 8888888 0
2 8888888 0
888 888 200

And 8N:

Good on you.
Personally I am not going to expose myself so much into a quite unknown ( yet ) field. At the end non Chinese speakers ( like me ) have to guesstimate what Chinese will buy..not an easy task!!!
