Irrespective of the amount of sale (amount being greater than $250), how frequently do you sell a domain name?

Some of the best statistics worldwide!
Only about a 5% sell through, I'm sure people have higher somewhere. I've found this year that I probably average about an hour a week actively looking through lists on expireddomains.net for any purchases (which are few and far between). If I do buy a new name it's anywhere from $2 to $150. I spend more time on namePros by far than I do actually domaining lol.

mine are sporadic. I have no set pattern. Id say about 5-10 a year. ty.

To be honest, this question is incorrect. It was more correct to ask what percentage of the total number of domains you sell per year. For example, like many here, I also sell 5-10 domains a year. but I have no more than 500 domains in my portfolio. Other domainers have several thousand domains in their assets and sell the same amount. Therefore, it is not entirely correct to talk about the frequency of sales for accurate statistics and understanding of the problem as a whole.

Selling names is not like selling SPAM or eggs.
I did not sell any name as I have zero trader rating. Just come here to create nonsense and BS threads.
I need to stop Spamming the forum.

I took out a student loan many years ago and spent it all here. Between that and renewals I figure I have put in around $8,000. For that effort I only ever sold 2 domains, 1 for $300 and 1 for $1000. I was offered $10,000 for my best domain but I turned it down. I don't have my domains listed anywhere. My landing page site on EC2 got hacked and I took it down, and I just get distracted with side projects and haven't gotten around to putting landing pages back up. Maybe this year.

I have sold a few this year and refused more because I am either developing those domain names or I got lowball offers.

Yeah. Lots of lowball offers.

Sorry, how many domains do You have before and now after dropping them? My question is related to the fact that I still don't know if I should do this, so I am interested in statistics and personal experience of other domainers

I see you sell 4LLLL very cheap, what is your profit?
Yes, I sell very cheap. I am keeping lower margin, say minimum 10% NET profit. Thereby selling more names.

Option 7. Never. Domaining is about profit, not just sales. Why no option for never?

Think of this poll as for those who do sell. If you can't select the minimum one, i.e. 1 in 5 years, then the poll is not for you.

I think people here should also write their portfolio size next to the amount of domains they sell.
Otherwise it does not show the whole picture but rather distorted one.

Less frequently than you spam this forum with another unprofound question that has already been answered many, many times.

You said you own around 50k domains.

50,000 * 9 (renewal avg) = $450,000 / year = $37,500 / month.

Am I missing something?

I checked his sales on NAMEPROS and his portfolio is majorly based on .de .eu or .nl etc so maybe their renewals or transfer fee is less than that of .com

I have gone from around 5000+ domain names to around 450. This learning curve is important in my book. Those names all gave me some truths about this marketplace.

It's hard to tell what to drop. Read all you can in this forum. The names are valuable in many ways and in many different geographical regions. It's hard to tell without seeing a specific domain name.

Hand regs are supposedly impossible but I just registered a great one today, inspired by something my young son said to me.

Thanks for answering!
It is very important for me.
I followed the link of your profile and found that you are positioning all the SH domains. Tell me honestly, does it make sense? Have you ever received the promised 10% of the sale of a domain that does not belong to you if customers first went to your page, and then bought another domain? I only position my personal domains, so I am interested in your opinion. According to the team, if I position all the SH domains, I will have more chances, since then my domains will also be displayed in other domainers portfolios

Not true. I have some domains there and I wonder why. Squadhelp is an experiment with 50 domains.

I have NordicDomains.se and also use many of the names I aquire. So the selling is not my main line of business. If you want to make sales regularly then you need a LOT of decent names in your portfolio at any given time.

I turn down many domain purchase requests.
