I already welcomed these people, when they introduced themselves, if they cared to. What makes you the welcoming committee here? Do you know who joined but didn't post an introduction, so that you don't exclude anyone?

I don't like that you do this in order to spam your poll.

I think it is misleading and in poor taste. Please explain why "your vote is very important" to newcomers here?
