.me .ME Extension - Coming Soon In 2008

So the .ME extension is coming in 2008 - specifically for Montenegro, anyone know if it'll be difficult to register these in the USA?

I see a few .ME's are taken - although they haven't been released. I'd like to get my hands on some premium .ME's but it looks like someone is already taking the good ones pre-sale. :td:

I have sent an email regarding pre-purchase on some decent .me domains a few weeks ago.

Here is the reply from .ME :

Hello,

Sorry, but we are now in process of establishing procedure for
registration. After that we have to choose main registrar which has to
involve infrastructure for registration all around the world. Our
intention is to be one of the biggest TLD and that's way we need support.
So, you have to wait and to be patient. That's way, follow our site and
you'll be informed at time.

That is a great extention. It beats .NAME and other extentions similar to that.

Is there a pre-registration period so that we can get hold on firstname-lastname.me or so? Where to sign up for a pre-registration?

No pre regs. Also priority will be given to .cg.yu domain owners. so best keywords will be taken, as Montenegro used cg.yu before gaining independence.

But a good extention IMO
