Well, Roblox just went public on the 10th, check out the Ceo´s tweett@DavidBaszucki and how mentioned the metaverse. Same as per Fornite and so on.
All this hype of the Nfts is also pushing the metaverse. You can show off your Nfts, sell and trade them in the metarverse. Swapp between metaverses and take for example your Nft sneakers from one land to another and do whatever you want with them. Some people like to have their own private collection or investment, but most people, as in real life want to show what they have. So having your super awesome Nfts just locked up in your device is not so cool as showing and trading it to whoever in these metaverse lands.
And yes lots of metaverse + word are being regged lately

Think of the potential of metaverse space games, environments etc etc - could be huge.........we already have massive multiplayer games in this sector, the next logical step is to create a galactic, space type of metaverse...imo
