These quotes are not just about domain investment advice (which is always nice to read) but also ones that I thought where funny or inspirational....
There are many many more domainers that have written good advice, shared words of wisdom or just been plain memorable, please feel free to share your favourites!
I will get the ball rolling with the below.....
Lets start with the one and only Frank Schilling
"Everything on the Internet begins with a name"
"I remember how hard it was for me in the past and what it’s like to have nothing. I’m the same guy - putting more zero’s in my bank account doesn’t change my memories or who I am. It doesn’t make me any better or make me special"
Rick Schwartz is someone who needs no introduction and I could probably do a whole thread with just his quotes, will keep it short with just a couple for now.....
"Don’t buy crap."
“I just believe there is results and there is everything else. I don’t just talk about results I have shown results over and over again through the years. At the end of the day, I run one of the single most efficient businesses on the planet. Say what they want, nobody can argue with numbers.”
"If you're not too good at math, and sales ain't your thang, and you don't study history and business basics is not your strong suit you are gonna have one hell of a time finding success in domain investing."
Up next is Mike Mann
"I'm just really greedy, I want to own the world."
Dot com is the only extension that can be considered a “safe” investment. Other extensions are speculative and risky, unless you have the perfect left/right combination.
Merlin Kauffman offers the below advice
"Take a bigger risk instead of a lot of small ones. By this, I mean that instead of buying ten domains worth $100 each, buy 2 domains worth $500 each, or 1 domain worth $1,000. Bigger risks usually have bigger rewards."
I wanted to keep this post short and sweet so this it for now, look forward to reading any domain quotes you come across!
