Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

I wonder if this will close. My rep explained a scam that’s happening.
I bid $12 and put a proxy of $9,900. My buddy then bids away until he hits $10,000. Of course no legit bidder will outbid the $10k. Then my buddy wins and doesn’t pay which wipes out all his bids. I get the domain for $12...
GoDaddy tries to catch this stuff but it only takes a few people working together to game the system!
Any valuable hyphenated names out there? I know hyphens are often frowned upon... but when talking to SEO folk, they say hyphens can be good because Google doesn’t recognize them. It just “sees” hyphens as a space.
Anyways, anybody have any hyphenated cannabis names?
I only have one... CBD-Soda / com
Cannabis-123
in King
because why not.
Because names like this have far too many alternate variations, leaving sales difficult and arduous, at best. When you add a hyphen with numbers the value gets even more diluted. Below is an example...all of these names are available to reg at the time of this post:
canna-123 .com
marijuana-123 .com
pot-123 .com
weed-123 .com
ganja-123 .com
Not to mention about another dozen alternate keywords one can choose from. Numbers also have alternate options, such as 411, 101, 360, 365, 247, abc, a2z, atoz, etc.
Not trying to burst your bubble, just food for thought...gl
I completely agree with you on all fronts. No bubbles have popped lol just playing around.
Fair enough. It's an eggshell walk giving constructive criticism here. Often folks take it as a personal slam.
Good luck with your names...hope you make a mint!
True, it's either people can't take the constructive criticism or they interpret the language/meaning of what's being said completely wrong lol
I don't have too many cannabis related names, I think 5 in total. I used to buy a bunch of names back in the day by hand registering, I stopped that and started focusing on auctions. I made my first and only sale with L/HUB/COM for $14,500 (bought for $1,000). I haven't sold anything since then, but I only have around 40-50 domains total. So that's not surprising. I'm just waiting to see what happens.
Have you had success selling cannabis related domains?
I have...and this remains my favorite niche.
I can...but I seldom ever do.
Whatever you're comfortable with, I was just curious.
