question .space issue with Google

Hi folks,

I've Come across a bit of a problem getting Google & other spiders to crawl my wordpress minisite http://nearearth.space

When trying to verify in WMT it throws up the following error;

"Verification failed for http://nearearth.space/ using the HTML file method (21 hours ago). We were unable to connect to your server."

My portfolio site is on the same server & verified fine and is indexed. I would think it's a theme or plugin issue if it wasn't for the fact Google can't seem to see the verification file at all, which is here;

Would appreciate any assistance, it's driving me batty!

Weird - its like they're being blocked (???) I see it, it looks good, not blocked in robots.txt, (check .htaccess?)

I'll check the htaccsss, that's one thing I didn't think to check. What tell tale signs should I look for?

Any bot blocking code that might be blocking whatever user agent Google/Bing use to check verification? Not likely but possible. Could be something weird with the gtld or some other quirky problem, but rule that out first.

Nothing untoward in .htaccess that I can see.
