The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Quite the pickle to be in
Yes, an obvious dill-emma... It's a Vlasic case of to buy or not to buy the domain... a jarring experience for sure...

LOL, something doesn't smell right, and it's not the pickles...

My guess is that the owner of the .net has hired OP for $3/h to market the name, or promised him a 50/50 split if it sells. Pathetic is a word that comes to mind.

Sir I have spicypickle.com already. I want to register a pickle company so trying to save dot net extension.
If you already have the .com, why even bother with any other extensions?

@VirtualAssistant I can see that you have several auctions here on Namepros trying to sell a bunch of domains, including SpicySeafoods.com. Why don't you just tell the truth about Spicypickle.net?

You're obviously the owner and just trying to fool some poor bastard to buy it for less than $1k, believing they will get $1k from you later. Scumbag is a word that comes to mind...

If spicypickle.net can sell for $1000 then I will surely be a millionaire some day. Who said domaining was dying?

What do you mean with 'register a pickle company'? The .com, which you said you own, is currently listed for sale at Sedo. I'm confused.

You own the dot com ?

It’s for sale on Sedo and has Sedo nameservers
So you are trying to sell the .com in order to pay 1K for the .net , huh !?

Something is not adding up here.

If you own the .com, why are you so obsessed with acquiring the .net?

Does it even matter?

It is not like it is a requirement to sell spicy pickles.

I think I've become confused about what the damn hell is happening in this thread.

Not just this thread, the world, too.

But if it's all falling apart, at least it's nicer with spicy pickles handy.

:)

When your company is successful, please send pickles to everyone who was helpful to you in this thread.

I do not know if I was helpful exactly, but send me pickles anyway, okay?

The .com sold for 888 in 2022 on Godaddy - not sure if it was expired domain or private seller. Number suggests private. Up until then it was a developed site until 2019, then an expired site for a couple years, listed on Dan for a short bit, then finally sellling on GD last year. Since then it's been listed on Sedo with 'make offer'. Sedo says the seller is from India.

The .net was developed all those years with the same site as the .com. Dropped at about the same time. But this time instead of maintaining its legacy date, it went through deletion phase, then re-regged in 2021. Since then, cannot tell what is being done with it since site does not resolve other than a blank page, and doesn't seem to be listed for sale at the main marketplaces. As I mentioned, it may have expired a couple days ago...

Not sure how all that impacts or shapes what the OP is asking for... I agree it doesn't seem to make sense, having the .com but willing to pay 1K for the .net. In a way, it does look fishy, especially alongside the OP's other recent similar type domain sale threads... I admit that what DrJacoby mentioned above was my initial thought, too, after I read a few posts here...

:)

I mean, the .com has to hold some value because it was a real restaurant that you could buy into as a franchise, so i'm sure there's some good seo, the same company owned the .net as well, and seemed to use it before they got the .com, but I agree, if you have the .com don't waste the money...

Spicy-Pickle.com (with hyphen) is available to register... grab that for reg fee and save yourself $985 :)

SpicyPickle.net had the same development as the .com for many years. They both were let go at the same time.

SpicyPickle.com is now for sale on Sedo with 'make offer', by a seller from India.

SpicyPickle.net = doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere that I can see. It also may have just expired yesterday...

Just open the .com and HOPE someone else opens the .net so they will bleed traffic to you, as will always happen! NEVER develop a net (or other) if you don't own the .com too. You will ALWAYS feed the com

I believe you are wasting your time if you own the .com; they will probably drop the .net

No broker is working on this like @internext said. This really does not make sense imo. If you have the .com develop the .com the .net is inconsequential, just develop the .com and build your business. I mean Amazon does not own amazon.net they could pay whatever it sits there http://amazon.net/ No one cares about the .net.

I trust Anil. We automatically list our names when we buy them.
Anyone I vouch for here is Op
Not many people I trust as much as him.
Buddy forget about the .net
I used to cover my bases, not necessary.
Focus on your .com and use the 1000 for development.
Pm anytime @VirtualAssistant
