So I've been watching a lot of whats been selling incrementally learning more and more about Chinese numerology and how the number 8 is the "luckiest".

8.com of course is taken but then I started drinking and ran an experiment to see how many times I have to enter 8 to get an available domain. The answer was surprising. All of them were taken except one so I bought it... the number 8 62 times. All the domains more 8s are taken as well. All other numbers were taken so I had to buy it. IDK what anyone would do with it but theres gotta be a reason longer ones are taken as well. Maybe it'll bring me good luck times 62 by having it in my portfolio!

88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888.com

Any ideas on why the others would be taken?

the number 8 62 times.

So unless someone counts how many "8" they put into search bar, they will end up at another site...
61 "8's" is a different site (parked/developed/blank page/ etc) than 62 "8's"
60 "8's" is a different site (parked/developed/blank page/ etc) than 62 "8's"

at least you got a interesting topic (discussion) for a thread...

True but those who know their goal (domain / website) will find their way (typing the exact number of...).
These domains are made for people who knowww their goal.

@DOMAIN ILLUMINATI There might be a flaw in your .top approach. I noticed you own top.com (idn) which doesn't really make sense....

Question
Can you point me in the direction of where these type names are being used?
Besides being discussed here on NP.
And can not be one of your names.
Thanks

Everything makes sense in some way, this IDN is a separate investment and has nothing to do with the immense value of my long domains.
Also, as it is an IDN, it is not compareable with non - IDNs.
So no flawww

I don't care if or where they are used because these domains are not created for "classical use", they are more collected assets who exist primarily to own them as investment or for own pleasure (every asset has a price at one point).

Nevertheless, here is an example:

All "ahh..." / .com domains

ahh.com
ahhh.com
ahhhh.com

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.com

are registered / owned by The Coca-Cola Company.
They even had all of them in active use about a year ago but currently not - probably they will use them in future again.

Another example, maybe NICKELODEON is involved:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/who-says-long-domains-have-no-value.1084791/page-5#post-6753013

But these examples are / were not / never a reason why I own such domains - I own them because I see them as the ultimate domaining / investement possibilityyy as these domains are not beatable in their length / pureness.

I forgot about that. It was a marketing campaign. It got some coverage at the time. Good one!

Yes, it was an ad - campaign, I believe they presented relevant, different little games on the site.
Currently / surprisingly these domains are showing a "https://" - problem (no idea why such a big company seem to don't care) but I am sure that they won't drop these domains - I think they either will use it again for the same or a similar ad - campaign in future (ads have to / often get repeated) or they just hold it to show the world that they own the longest "ahhh…" (it's their idea that the longest "ahhh…" symbolizes the "ultimate enjoyment" of Coca-Cola's taste / freshness...).

To make that campaign work, they had to acquire all those domains!

Plus we are speaking about a single company that had a marketing plan and a use for the "Ahhhhhs/etc" and deep deep pockets!

@Dogmains ...by now you should also realize the @DOMAIN ILLUMINATI EFFECT, whenever he/she posts, the views and responses increase... and that in "view/etc" sense is not a bad thing! Not saying anything negative, in my internet world, views count

You can't say / write that you own the "most" "8"s on the internet" (of course you can say / write it - but it's factually wrong).

Simply because you are not the only one who owns this number of "8"s (63 = maximum) in a domain name.

As you may knowww and as as I mentioned in the beginning of this thread already, I own the domain

888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888.top

which contains exact the same number of "8"s (63 = maximum) like your domain.

In other words, you own exact the same number of "8"s (63 = maximum) in your domain like I own in my domain name - which shows, that you obviously don't own the most "8"s on the internet.

This means, neither you nor I nor any other person can validly claim to own the most "8"s on the internet.

What you can validly claim, is that you own the most "8"s in combination with the TLD .com while I can validly claim that I own the most "8"s in combination with the TLD .top
So the difference here lays - once again - only in the TLD; regardless the TLD it's exact the same domain name (63 times / maximum "8").

Although it's anywayyy obvious - at the end it's a personal decision / viewww which "maximum "8" - domain" of all exisitng "maximum "8" - domains" is / can only be the highest = top "8"s domain of all time...

I have owned it for about 3 years now.
The highest offer was $2,200 if I recalled correctly.

I see. Very strange...

Originally you wrote "...on the internet" and not "...on my internet".
According to your (above quoted) reply, you actually should have written originally "...on my internet" to make others instantly clear that "your world / internet is .com only".

So only if you write "In my world and in my internet which consist of .com only, I own the most "8"s", then you are correct.

But at the end you are just denying the internet - realityyy with such a statement - because .com is only a part of the internet; factually there is no "my" internet, there is just "the" internet - with thousands of different TLDs and .com is only one of them - but it is not the highest one.

I'm not seeing "top-eight-domain" here.

On the left side the dot I see "eigh" which maybe is another word for eh. This is what I see.

Yes, eight is in there but what is "eight op"? What does this mean?
I don't think this is even considered a hack.
I just don't get it. Or maybe my brain is just not equipped to understand this Domain Illuminati stuff.O_o

Your feedback is welcome.
I recommend you to see my post / domain in context with the emoji I made:

;)

You see what you want to see - so if you want, you can see that the "eigh(t)" "borrows" its "t" from the ".(t)op", in other words, the TLD is "sharing" its first letter (t) with the domainname (eigh)

...this will let you see "eigh(t)op", I would call it "fusion - hack - domain", it's (original) DOMAIN ILLUMINATI stuff, yes.

I registered this domain as a short forwarder to the highest "8" - domain of all time.
