I echo these two sentiments.

I liked how if you just left the sorting alone, it would default to "recently viewed", but now the sorting selection sticks forever. Please bring this back as it was the primary reason I even used the Portfolio section.

And I also liked the simplicity of the previous format - what the design should have been was to leave the format as-is, with the same column spacing, then allow users to ADD COLUMNS if they chose, and to squish it into an unreadable mass of text+numbers.

I worry that even if we get the chance to HIDE COLUMNS, it will just shift everything to the left and do nothing about the lack of column spacing.

It is driving me Nuts not being able to "view" in order of "Most Recently viewed" especially when you have a Spike in Traffic in your Stats!

Please fix this somehow.

I like the Look of Dan...but functionality I'm losing interest.

Had another non-payer that After negotiating on a name failed to pay a 25k deal.


I miss the OLD simple look and view we had just weeks ago! This new look is just more complicated and squished. Not "complaining " simple giving my input and perspective on things.


PS "Price Request " is a Worthless Feature Anywhere any market place, It's just another Hurdle, to an offer/sale..WHY would anyone want an extra step in the process.

For these reasons begun to move some names back to Efty & My Own Landing pages where I get all leads and all information. ( IMO Dan does not add this as they worry they will lose leads, that may close off platform ) idk why, because epik has it work just fine.

I'd like to add that my .xyz domains see a lot more crawling activity than domains in any other TLD in my portfolio. My best guess is that the .xyz registry, Google/Chronicle, and other anti-spam/anti-malware companies (check the status of your domain or URL in this overview or this one) are keeping a very close eye to the health and content of all .xyz domains.

I've now registered almost 3,500 .xyz domains, and although I'm pretty certain that these domains are clean under my (new) ownership, the .XYZ registry put 3 of these registrations on clientHold within a week after registration, because of malicious history on these domains (spam, phishing, or malware). A clientHold status code means that the domain is deactivated in the DNS and as a consequence, it will not resolve any longer. You will not get an email warning about this, so you have to detect/monitor this yourself. Then you will have to get in contact with the .XYZ Anti-Abuse team, and make an unsuspend request. Also, you have to cleanup the mess from the previous registrant by reporting a false positive*** at several places.

*** This is the Google search term you use, but in the past the spam/phishing/malware activity was detected, so at that time it was not a 'false positive'.

Most often you will also have to submit a reconsideration request in Google SafeSearch. For this, you have to add your domain to Google Search Console first. To be able to do a successful verification in Google Search Console, DNS for your domain has to work (no clientHold status). Sometimes you will have to cooperate with the .XYZ registry, which may enable DNS for you again, and allow you a short (5-day) period to fix the malicious history on the domain. In the meantime, the .XYZ registry will closely monitor activities on the domain.

Thanks for the detailed info. Yes, They are closely monitoring. And I have around 20 domains on hold. I didn't raise a request to the anti abuse team due to my time constraints.

Some registrants have been using it for spam activities due to 1 usd reg price. which is affecting our people.

QUESTION ABOUT THE VIEWS COUNTER

I find it strange that the "monthly" views counter isn't really monthly. Often, if the counter is "62" and you click on the domain for more info, it will say "2 monthly views" and 60 last month. That's misleading and frustrating.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I believe the Monthly Views number rolls over on a 30-day basis, regardless of month, while the "this month" and "last month" view numbers are exactly that - March and whatever is left from February (30 total days) in this case.

If you keep an eye on the numbers, you should notice "this month" increasing as X days pass by, while "last month" should decrease as the X-30 days number drops. The total should be a rolling 30-day period.

At least that's the way I understand it after evaluating the numbers over a period of months.

Are domains parked at Dan.com supposed to be indexed by Google? Or not?

I noticed on a quick look mine don't seem to be now, whereas many if not all used to be - they are showing the domain as url, not dan.com marketplace url, has been that way all along.

Can't see any no-index meta tags in the page source code, so why would page not be indexed by Google?

The way distribution networks work is that you first build inventory and then distribution. Both combined create a network. However, you cannot distribute or excite partners if you do not have a competitive inventory offering.

We launched ODN as an opt-in which means sellers have to actively add their domains to the pool. If we look at how many domains are now in the network, it's still too little for us to be able to compete with the other two networks for integrators because our inventory isn't there yet.

Next week, we're implementing an in-between solution for the inventory problem by adding all Dan-listed domains to the ODN without charging sellers more commission but by giving integrators the option to integrate non-opted in inventory which increases the pool to 15M domains but makes the integrators too little commission. Dan in this scenario also would get a commission at a loss basis due to us not being able to charge the 20% for opted-in inventory.

So as a Dan seller, you have to realize that you are part of making the network a success by adding your inventory to the network so our team can proceed to the next step and onboard more network participants. If Dan sellers do not participate in the network with their inventory, we cannot grow the network.

We need to double our actively ODN listed inventory and once that's done the network has all capabilities required to thrive and take over Afternic DLS & Sedo's MLS since we've built the most modern and future proof network with much better capabilities and a stronger business model for integrators as Dan only takes a 5% commission for handling ODN transactions and the rest of the commission is given to the network inventory provider & network inventory seller.

Lastly, the ODN only increases liquidity for network-listed domains, it cannot hurt your sales since it only increases exposure for your domains.

I've not been able to get it to show since the latest update, and It's aggravating as that was probably my favorite feature to Sign in , in the AM and SEE , what's been looked at. Really would like to have this back, it would do it automatically in old theme.

I also commented on this awhile back and echo these sentiments - the default "Most Recent" option on the Views column was the only reason I ever went to the My Domains panel.

This is VERY useful information and I'm sure we're not the only ones who miss it.

Support wasn’t helpful. They told me to sort by views. Don’t get why they would remove something that is so useful.

I really dislike this "change for the sake of change" mentality, where Dan has totally clogged up the My Domains panel with every piece of useless info you can imagine, making it virtually unusable due to the lack of space and abundance of numbers.

I literally expected to see a new column labelled "The Kitchen Sink".

And to make matters worse, they get rid of one of their best features - a valuable mechanism to track the latest views by potential buyers. It truly boggles the mind.

I have not checked back far on this thread but It no longer shows Monthly views, everything is at 0, before if I accidently went to my domain, it would detect that, but now it seems nothing does. Stuck at 0 for all my domains, I have not changed anything. Unless I missed something, if so excuse me. Thank you.

EDIT: The counter updates when I click on preview, however going to the main site does not record the hit, like I said this was working prior and I have not changed anything. I think just forwarding it to that site will make it work, but wondering what changed.

Is it better to have a "Buy it Now" on a listed domain, or a "Make Offer", and if you have any data representing which method ends in more sales for sellers.
