Another meathead with a lowball, that he/she then counters by +$1 increments over and over. I notified Dan Support but that's 24 hours min.

My Kingdom for a "Close Transaction" button!
Ouch! Sounds like Dan needs to have way to allow the seller to specify what amount would be acceptable for each incremental bid.
And please be reassured that Dan does seem to do a great job with quick responses to urgent questions. I've even have had our wonderful Dan rep here, Lazlo, respond personally to support questions submitted via their website. So, hang in there, and good luck with this unusual bidder!

First time dealing with dan, so far so good, are their "transfer specialists" at work on weekends? Just wondering.

Nope it's dead all weekend and don't expect any $$$ or non-bot activity until Monday.

Good morning @phantasmagoria,

Actually, the reply given by @DomainRecap is incorrect.

We are glad to hear that you have had a good experience. To make it better, I can assure you that we offer transfer support during the weekends. We do provide limited transfer support but still have specialists process transfers. All payouts for transfers performed during the weekend will get issued that first following business day.

Have a nice week!

I apologize but I have never received any personal replies or activity on the weekend.

Today is a good example, a bank transfer failed for me on Thursday (just my f-ing luck I guess) after transferring multiple times with no issue, but I didn't get a personal response as to why, until early this morning.

Good morning,

It does depend on where you are located. In the initial thread, we were discussing transfer support. What you are referring to now is finance-related. Anything that comes through outside our finance department's office hours is taken care of first thing the very next day.

Best regards,

Speaking of Finance, did you guys recently switch bank providers for wire transfers?

I ask because for the first time at Dan, a transfer of mine failed (due to "missing beneficiary info") and then the second time it went through but I was charged a transfer fee by one of the intermediaries.

This never happened me before at Dan, but I remember when CJ switched banks (to a lower-cost one) and there were myriad transfer problems and $10-$15 charges down the line (these "cost saving" banking solutions piggyback networks that surcharge end users). It got so bad, they were literally forced to change back.

The similarities are eerie.

The simple solution is to raise the minimum bid for the domain in question. Make the minimum your acceptable selling price. He'll quickly go away and you can reset the price thereafter.

I didn't know you could do that with an open transaction. Try at other places like Sedo and it locks you out if there are open negotiations on that domain.

Good morning @DomainRecap,

We have not changed bank providers recently for wire transfers. We only added the option to get your payout through Payoneer as well.

Enjoy the day ahead!

Good morning @Bailian,

This can only be done when deactivating your meet the seller box on the landing page.

All the best,

I just noticed today Recently Viewed is under Views drop down menu. This used to be on the Main Dashboard before.

I just noticed today Recently Viewed is under Views drop down menu.

Now this is good news!

But conversely, I have noticed the load times on Dan lander slowing down a LOT, especially those with fewer views and I assume, less-likely to be cached. DDOS or server overload?

A question. I am now using nameservers from dan.com. Sometimes the landing page opens after a few seconds. Does anyone know if using A-records opens faster than using nameservers?

Hello
Google analytics linked with Dan shows Real time Active User, even when you view the Dan landing page of your domain from your logged in Dan's Domain Preview Page. Is there any way to avoid this which unnecessarily adds to the total views and gives a false impression.
Thanks

Hi guys, I'm using DAN as a lander for most of my domains (90%).

My names are around 80% .COM and 20& .IT and .IO

Brandable or exact keywords names mostly.
They are also listed on Sedo and Afternic.

I listed them for a while now (I own roughly 200 names), and even if I can see some traffic I never sold or received any offer yet. I set up the BIN price + INSTALLMENTS and MAKE OFFER as a backup.

Also, I tried to search for them on Google but I can't find anyone of them.

I'm thinking to switch to Afternic, but I like DAN's landers, so maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

Which is the best setup for your DAN landers?

Can you give me some tips?

Is any way to check if a buyer is legit or not?

@LaszloSchenk

Looks like DAN could really benefit by some basic SEO optimization for domains parked there. If a domain owner takes the time to add descriptions for domain names, they should be included in the description meta for the domain URL and DAN sale page at the very least. Domain owners can host their own domains and get much better traffic from Google, which really should not be the case considering the internet traffic that DAN has the power to harness for SEO and marketing compared to the average domain owner.

Also - when you link to a DAN domain for sale URL on Twitter (or other OG social media) it should prioritize and pull the owners custom description into instead of the old and unattractive "I found a great domain for sale on @undeveloped"... and also the Twitter card/image pulled is just a screenshot of some part of the text on the DAN domain sale page... and this all looks BAD.

This all seems like pretty basic stuff. Why have such pretty basic issues not been addressed or improved by DAN team after years and millions of dollars in sales... I'm curious.

Anyone else curious?

Thanks!

For that low inventory, you can't be sitting and hoping for sales to come, you need to find leads and OUTBOUND. If you cant find any, best is to drop the domain.

DAN landers works fine for me and i personally prefer DAN over Afternic or the rest due to automated workflow and most importantly fast payout!
