.BET go live 03.03.2016. Now Sunrise & Landrush closed. The first results:

ALL NN.bet without "4" taken within the first hours with renewal fee ~$750.

Are you just making observations, or saying this has some relevance to something?

CHInesePremiumS are not simply premium because they have no "AEIOUV" or "04", it needs to be sought after as well, including the TLD. For example a "5L.company" is not going to be a CHIP just because it has no vowels or V.

My point is, I don't see that CHIPs are even possible in .bet yet. (2 character domains are of course very different and sought after in pretty much all TLDs.)

Man its funny how these Chinese avoid 0 and 4 like the plague.

It's not that simple. They hate 4 in many ways, like westerners hate 13, and hotels don't have 4th floor, 24th floor, etc. But for example "54" means "not death". The Chinese language and thus their interpretations in certain things are not simple, they're (beautifully) complex in some ways.

"0" at the end can be very positive.

All available NNN.bet w/o 0,4 already preordered at minimum 1 registrar. I have checked 101domain.com - all preoredered. So it means that these domains will be taken within first seconds after .bet zone go live.

I have done some calculations:

All registered NN.bet with premium prices cost ~$60K
All registered and preordered NNN.bet with premium prices cost ~$55K

And ALL POSSIBLE 4N.bet w/o 0,4 with regular prices will cost just the same ~$60K

So I predict that all 4N.bet w/o 0,4 will be taken within first day/week

That's perfectly feasible, but why are you predicting this?

It's the norm now for people to purchase short numerical (and 3/4/5 L) in all sorts of TLDs, 'just in case', but it's another matter entirely whether they sell them on or not, or for a reasonable ROI.


I don't see any CHIPS in .bet, when considering that "P" stands for "Premium" and there are hundreds of other TLDs. While Chinese buyers may well wipe the board of all TLDs with their want for short numerics, it won't be in the scale of .com. And will mostly be people who cannot afford a .com etc, so turn to .club, .bet. .one etc, but that doesn't make those domains valuable or worth trading in.


They'll just be a one off low value sale to very small time end users, and this has no reflection on the TLD in general or any potential for on-going trading with even 3 and 4N in that TLD.

so it is not only ONE of domain zones, but domain zone with interesting for buyers keyword.

I don't know future, but I hope for demand in this domain zone and I pay my ~$5K investments and risk with it ))

Those are all .com sales, I thought we were discussing .bet TLD? Sure, .com with keyword "bet" in could be lucrative, but that has no bearing on another TLD.
