Here is the current wait time for the non-ambassadors:

'Pending review'-> 5-6 weeks (down from 7-8 weeks)
'Pending Logo Design'-> 3-4 weeks (up from 2-3 weeks)
'Queued for Publishing'-> 1-2 weeks (up from 0-1 week)
---------------------------------------------------
Total time- 9-12 weeks (2-3 months)

Current wait time for ambassadors:

'Pending review'-> 0-1week
'Pending Logo Design'-> 1-2 weeks
'Queued for Publishing'-> 0-1week
-------------------------------------------------
Total time- about 4 weeks (1 monthish)

FWIW, and I have no first-hand knowledge of this, my understanding based on what I was told was that this is nothing to do with being an ambassador. A small group of publishers are on a pilot program which changes how the review process works for them. Their reviewed names go into the same design and publishing queue as everyone else though.

I've been told this new system is still being tested, but the primary reason for it isn't to help the fast-tracked publishers, but instead to release more resources to everyone else. This makes sense to me.

I think we should give this a chance, and if the current wait times are an issue to you then my advice is to submit frequently so you always have new names moving along every stage of the system. Also be prepared that some of your names will take years to sell, while most will likely never find a new owner. But for those names that do end up transacting your reward should be a very good ROI indeed.

Anyone else care to share sales percentages?

I've just had a few names submitted on the 29th April reviewed, but I still have names from as far back as the 8th, 9th, 10th April etc to be reviewed. Is everyone else the same?

One from 4/21, one from 4/22, then the balance at 4/30. Seems like they got out of order for awhile there.

It's the new deal with the review process. Some pending, some rejected, some accepted over a greater submission date timespan.

I had some April 7 reviews today .. 2 accepted, 2 rejected.

I now have 9 accepted out of 44 reviewed since April 7th.

Just had my biggest price evaluation today for 3495 .. all others were between 1400 and 2200. Nice to have one a bit higher valued.

I've seen some of my domain progress in the review/logo/publish pending situation too. Wheels are in motion today for me.

I'm still waiting on a few names from April 8.

Yup its the same for everyone. A new review system designed to keep things flowing. Some notable reviews of mine were:
PeakTrend/yes v. PeakTaste/no ----- that makes sense to me
VirtuThink/yes v. VirtuHelper/no -- I think the 'er' killed it. VirtuHelp would've been a weiner
HighMetric/yes v. MetricsFast/no --- I guess 'fast' makes it sound like a SpeedyPrinting shop
ForkFresh/yes v. PickUpFresh/no -- She definitely picked the stronger of the two
SuperUpside/yes v. UpsideReady/no -- Super is always better. Just ask Lois Lane...

Cheers everyone! :laugh:

PS MetricsFast also breaks the rule that a name should say who the company is not what they do

anyone here SOLD a domain on BB recently? at the end of the day it's not a brandable domain "directory" but a MARKETPLACE and as much as i appreciate their intent to grow the business and make it popular...i've not heard of many sales taking place...a bit disappointed myself honestly!

Take some time to read the entries from the last few weeks. You'll see em.

And what happens to the names that were submitted years ago. Di they get buried under the recent ones? Did u sell any urself?

I'm guessing that what you're seeing is names being reviewed by new staff, and if one or two seem to be stuck on pending for weeks while newer names are reviewed then those pending names have likely been sent for further review by Margot.

FWIW my submission stats for the period 3/1 - 4/30:

Submitted: 151
Accepted: 89
Rejected: 47
Pending: 15

Is there any suggestion on whether or not its better to submit a bulk of domains (say its 100 names) at one time versus submitting 10 per week for 10 weeks?

@michaeljkrell - Congrats on your appointment to Managing Director.

As a member of the site, I am curious... did you buy a majority stake in the company?

If so, congrats on your purchase and congrats to Margot for building the foundation of this business.

Or was this a decision by Margot to free her time for strategic planning while you handle daily operations?

Thanks for shedding any light on the shift.

Wishing both of you the best of success.

Nice article Doran! Wishing MK and BB lots of success in their new partnership!

Wow.. thats amazing! Congratz Michael! I think since you are the main voice of BB to domainers this is a very good thing. Looking forward to seeing the effects of this change.

Cheers!

Congrats Michael! I wish you and BB success

Thanks everyone! I am really excited about this opportunity, and it is really great to work with Margot and the team! I am just starting to get completely immersed in the BB system. Once I get my head wrapped around things, things should get going.

I will say that we are making a concerted push to get through the domain queue!

Thanks, Jim! Good questions.

I can definitely tell you that I didn't purchase a majority stake in the company; I don't have the cash for that :) No equity was bought or sold.

I will be taking over the day-to-day operations, but Margot will still be in charge of name submissions and when we need some extra help(like now), I will assist with that as well.

My main objective is becoming more engaged with the domaining community on BrandBucket and ultimately increasing sales. My site HandReg.com will become more active, I will be doing live video chats with domainers discussing their portfolio, etc.

Margot and I will be working together on strategy, but rest assured that the core of BB will not change; we just want to help it reach its max potential with the help of all our members.
