I have recently come across a service called Domain Market Pro and I would like to hear from anyone who has used it or is using it.

It seems a 360 degrees service, much more complete and sophisticated than Efty or any other similar provider.

I have been in contact with the owner and I was impressed with the fast replies, the professionalism and the customer oriented approach.

IT LOOKS PROMISING...BUT THE SUBSTANCE?

That is why I would like to hear from you, Pros.

Thank you in advance.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
@NameOmnia I have been using DMP for 2 months now. This is by far the best Marketplace / Domain Service I have used. An easy to use service with continuous improvements and upgrades. Their support is excellent. I have subsequently stopped my Efty subscription.

Please feel free to pm me if you have any questions/concerns.

Thank you all for your kind words. We have a lengthy list of new features to add and it is pretty hectic here in the office. We only officially "re-booted" this past April (soft-launched at NamesCon) but have been around since 2007 (anyone remember Domainer Script?)

Over the years until now, we continue to have the incredible privilege of working with some of the most respected domain investors as well as new but serious investors (who provide great energy). Just like any enduring platform, our success depends on your feedback, but I hope you are patient as we implement certain recommendations. Some can be very quick, others take a little bit more time. But we will communicate with you the progress. If we say we will do it, we will do it.

It is amazing to see the creativity of many users of Domain Market Pro and their ability to create a unique brand. But if you lack the creativity, don't worry, we can help you set up your custom shop. DMP also has deep customization options. So that if you have a requirement or a want that is not that common or in demand then it is likely we can do it for you for a small fee.

DMP is SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) but we aim to provide "Success-as-a-Service". There are many actionable tips at the Domain Marketing Blog right now even if you don't use DMP.

I have been using DMP for 8 months now with my site http://WebRealEstate.com and it has been amazing. The customer service and response time to any of my questions or upgrades has been amazing. Absolutely love the software, the features and support.

Tom and DMP were more than willing to listen to many suggestions I have made and implemented some of those... Any other questions, email me.. Here you are www.webvisiondomains.com

@NameOmnia No worries, and as @doc24 mentioned, I too have asked for some added functionality which was implemented within a week! When the user clicks on "Buy" I can actually route them to a local ZA marketplace which handles the payment processing in local currency.

I too have opened a DMP domain marketplace at www.BigBrandLand.com a few months ago. (Link also in my signature!)
I too have also closed my Efty account after six months of zero inquiries. Not being able to customize categories was a deal killer for me on Efty as I can't see potential buyers scrolling through hundreds or thousands of names in their 10 vanilla uncustomizable catagories to find what they need!
I think the customer service Tom and his team provide at DMP is exceptional!
The features the DMP website provide, in my opinion, are second to none in the domain industry.
If you are looking for an out of the box marketplace solution, DMP is it!

Thanks Pierre!

I have actually seen your shop in the showcase and I am glad to hear that you are happy with the service as I am going to start the trial soon.

To me too they seem far superior to efty with much more customization and a real website for as a shop instead of a simple showcase.

Domain Market Pro is without a doubt the superior domain marketing system available .I have used the previous DMP for several years and the latest system is simply amazing.
Over the years I have had the pleasure to chat with Tom who has created and polished this do it all program. Tom offers support to anyone who needs it, listens to suggestions from others and constantly fine tuning the product so as it will always be #1.
I would highly recommend this product to all Domainers .

DMP works great for me. I wanted something that would allow me to create individual landing pages for my entire 1000+ portfolio without having to do them one at a time. It works great with GoDaddy - easy to forward the domains. Whenever I have had questions, I received very quick responses - even after what I would expect to be regular business hour. DMP is worth the investment. DomainNamesAdvisory.com

We moved Virtual.Domains over to DMP after hearing about their service at NamesCon. We abandoned our custom development project when we found DMP as it's exactly what we needed. Tom and his team have been very responsive to any issues we've found and it's been nice to see them grow the service. The initial offering was solid and they have since added many improvements some at request. It's nice to have a team of developers understand the Domain Marketing Business. There are things we want to do with our portal still but we are exploring the possibilities of what we can do within the DMP Platform. Every time I move forward I find new features that intuitively help us with the process.

Want to see what we have done with it? Check out //buy.virtual.domains

@Tom K

could you please let me know if landing pages show a "related" domains or "more domains from this seller" kind of thing? If not do you think you could implement such feature?

Thanks

Yes this is offered on both the sales pages & landing pages.

You can turn off that feature if you do not want to display the similar domains widget.

I have had my account ( 10.uk ) for a couple of months now and am very happy with it. Now most of my names are in one place. Already had a couple of offers for names, although no sales yet in the two months from the site.

One of the more surprising things for me (although I have invested in names for many years, I know very little about development, tracking, etc) is, by having everything together, to discover which names are actually getting the most traffic, and some of them are not what I would have thought!

Some of the surprises (at least for me) in the top 12 names for traffic include:

750cc.com
BayCityRoofing.com
CustomizedBasketball.com
BusinessArchitectureTraining.com
CorporateSocialMediaTraining.com
CustomizedBowTies.com

So Thank You Tom, once again :)

Top right hit "settings"
Under "protocol" change it to https:// or https://www as the whole site can be SSL.
Anything you can do to instill confidence in buyers helps, SSL and a nice logo step #1, when ya get time Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, FAQ etc... helps as well..

As far as subscription services go I'd say DMP is leading the pack, more of a learning curve than others but more features than others so worth toying around and learning how to use everything.

Good Luck (y)

Hi David,

You're very welcome. Glad you are happy with the platform. Get ready for more updates coming soon... :)

I've noticed that you still have a number of domains not going to your sales pages or landing pages. If you point them to your DMP Shop you will get more offers and sales. As well as perhaps other surprises. ;)

Hi Jay,

Great tips. And thanks for the kind words. Our goal is to make DMP the industry standard for selling and marketing domains. We've made it so you can quickly import domains and launch with a preset theme, or you can delve deeper in to explore the customization and marketing functionalities, which naturally takes more time in learning the platform.

Regards,
Tom

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that @Tom K is now @TCK

We decided to use just one account at this time and so the other one is auto-closed.

If anyone has any questions or wants to contact me directly regarding Domain Market Pro, please contact me @TCK.

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I was referring to the type of Dan integration offered at another platform, where the transactions originating from that platform are processed at Dan for a low commission of 5%. Thanks.

Our platform allows you to complete sales with 0% commission. You can optionally send buyers to your Dan domain purchase fulfillment page. If the rate is above 5%, which I am not sure about, you can calculate that into the pricing of the domain. We do not have exclusive integration with Dan but allow you to use any fulfillment source you like or use the built in fulfillment options. Hope this answers your question.

Thanks doc. 2 out of 2 positive experiences is encouraging!

I too have noticed how customer oriented and open to suggestions Tom is are they also quick at implementing them?
