Hey guys!

This is my first thread. I want to ask you guys about what is your opinion on .id ccTLD? It's a ccTLD for a country in Southeast Asia called Indonesia.

In my opinion, .id stands for identity. I think it's a good choice for personal websites. What do you guys think?

Thank you,
Thonder

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I also think of "identity". Could use it for Auth0.com or Clerk.com competitor.

Or better About.me or Carrd.com competitor for one-page site hosting.

Honestly, I like the idea of .id standing for "identity". It's short, catchy, and feels just right for personal sites or projects.

I actually tried .id domains myself - I had over 40 of them once! But I only managed to sell 3. Sounds a little sad, but those sales actually covered all the costs of registering them and made some profit.

So yeah, it's been a bit of a roller coaster ride. Still, it's definitely worth it for the unique touch it brings, especially for anything related to Indonesia or going for that personal ID.
