Just my opinion but i dont think the term coin will be used with rmg based on ethereum not using the term ethereumcoin and other digital currencies as well. I am going to stay away from the term coin.

Take care when reg'ing these names. I don't think there is any mining going on, that is a feature of cryptocurrencies. It remains to be seen if the gold backing is real or virtual gold as well. I don't see how they can implement a distributed ledger either.

After reading a bit more, again they are backing this up with their own gold unlike the process of mining with bitcoin does.

Like I said before I don't understand their entire process but it is safe to say that many new domains and services will launch I'd think providing the service/system to purchase gold through the blockchain.

It also appears you could purchase just one gram of gold with this system which is pretty cool IMO

I could be totally incorrect in my post, if so just correct me, trying to figure out whats going on with this other than a bunch of domains being registered.

I grabbed a couple RMG related domains just in case something pans out here but honestly I'm not sure this is a good domain investment yet..

There is a major move to try to get people to stop using cash, and switch to virtual transactions. Fiat deposits with banks are virtual currencies. The danger with RMG could be that they are using gold certificates rather than real gold to back the new "currency" this would tie in with zero charges for storage.

It's my understanding they are backing it with their gold.

This is being backed by the British Government controlled Royal mint using THEIR REAL GOLD. It could be a way to tie to currency of GBP when UK leaves Eurozone.
They voted to leave Europe in the brexit, so they could have control of their finances and maybe this is an offshoot of that.

Ive thought about the concept that this will be backed by physical gold which leads me to believe this will not be decentralized but rather a controlled market by a government. One of the pros is that gold can now be sold in grams and transactions will be faster and more secure. It will i assume be able to be broken down into smaller increments which will i think lead to the value of gold skyrocketing because any person will be able to posses and buy it in digital micro amounts.I think that will increase demand . One of the major cons is that if royal mint gold and the uk govt wanted to or needed to back out of its promises or wanted to suspend honoring the rmg you possess there will be nothing you can do about it somewhat the same vulnerability we have with fiat currency as with bitcoin we are all in control. Just a thought. I still am going to purchase and hold some rmg domains because there is still going to be a market despite all this i believe, but im not going to bet the farm. I dont know about you guys but i am now also going jump into buying actual physical gold as i think it will skyrocket.

I don't think they own enough physical gold to back RMG - don't forget Gordon Brown sold all our gold, and gave away the proceeds. China and Russia have been buying physical gold to back their new currencies, but I haven't heard about the UK doing it. I thought we were giving all our assets to Merkel to prop up DoucheBank for another couple of months.

I was looking for more info about bitcoins as I have BitCoinBags///Com and no takers. Its is expiring soon as in a day or two so Im still debating should I keep it or not. (Still taking offers btw for bitcoinbags lol.)

I done a bit more reading on it from other news sources to see if it was legit. It was.
So I looked at what the name of the currency is going to be called.
Its called RMG so I compared that with bitcoin, found that wallet was the biggest seller there,
Hmm, so I typed in rmgwallet. Hmmm It was gone. The day/night before.
So in my eyes, it was confirming what I was seeing with the press release.
Somebody randomly picked up a wallet domain the night before. No it doesnt work like that.
There is a reason.

So I took a few moments to think about it, And then I mailed both companys involved with making this tech and tried to plug them these domains, which I had picked up last week bank-co.in mintco.in mint-co.in sell-co.in
send-co.in gold-co.in silver-co.in transfer-co.in buy-co.in wallets-co.in and they all tie in with my
Bit-Co.In which I picked up a couple of months ago.

After that I began thinking well why not use dotster promo now and take a chance on getting these domains
So I got them.. I just mentioned it to BBW in passing about the article and he got excited about it. So much so, he went and got price immediately. !!
And that was it.

It makes up for cussing out one of only 20 people/Companies in the WORLD that would be interested in Zika/////Therapy////Com.
He called me a domain squatter and should be ashamed at what I do and how do I sleep at night and also to go do something productive.
I replied what about the billions that cant afford his overpriced bucking medicine. Maybe he should be a humanitarian and start giving it away for free. I sent the mail to 4 other managers and the info address.

I still got no reply back if he is interested in the domain or not.
lol.

Dude your gonna dominate this niche early. resellers will be begging you for domains. lol
