Xr umbrella terms all why would a company just want Vr for the future imagine one shop selling one lolly when another shop sells all come on man
Ya know, you and others have put this to me so many times, and my reply will still be the same.

Let's say you write software and you make something for POKER in alt media...
If you brand that with XR, how do I know it will work with MY AR /or MY VR, it likely does not work with ALL R's

Every time I read a article about XR in title, we end up talking about AR or VR or Mixed reality

A catch-all term is great if you are talking about alt-media in general, but it's terrible for specific branding.

Qualcomm has branded 'their platform' as "XR".
And hence everyone who uses their products will brand with it.
Or show me a hardware product that is AR/VR/MR, branded with XR that does not use one
.

It's the same chip used in high end Android smartphones. As it started with Android Samsung smartphones that had a slide on VR case. Although it slips me what that was called, even though I own 2 of them (collecting dust). LOL

Catch-all's are great for some things.
Compare (xr) AUTOMOBILE with (vr) CAR, (ar) TRUCK, (mr) VAN/SUV
Which term are you going to use when you want to sell one or something(software) for it ?

XRPoker - It is not clear what experience it is for, it is not ALL.

Think about that for a while as it's not any different.

Do you look for pyrotechnics for your celebration or firecrackers, bottle rockets etc

Names are about marketing. Marketing is about advantaging MONEY from selling !

So, something on the flip side of this...

How about XRStore ? I know what I would find there It's a general generic term. Just a example of something that works.
Might be same as saying Automotive dealership. I expect to see cars trucks & suv's.

Qualcomm will eventually take ownership of the term XR 'where it is used adversely to it's interest'.
While they may have not been able to achieve TM with it as it was to general, it can protect it's specific use rights.
Not to bother generic uses. 'XRsoftware' may be a grey area. That's what I am watching for anyway.
And it has all of it's customers using it's products are promoting their term/platform.

Good luck to all and as a seller of a high end Ar domain to a large porn house i feel more confident than ever in XR and its growth into its own field

Unleashing the Potential: The Convergence of AR/VR/XR and Cryptoassets in the Metaverse

The future of digital experiences is being reshaped by the convergence of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), extended reality (XR), and the transformative power of cryptoassets. This convergence represents the next major technological advancement for the metaverse, where virtual and physical realities merge, and individuals interact in immersive digital environments.

The metaverse, as a shared virtual reality space, requires a robust framework for owning and exchanging digital assets across multiple virtual worlds. Cryptoassets are uniquely positioned to fulfill this role for several compelling reasons. Broadly defined as transferrable, cryptographically secured representations of value or contract rights on distributed ledgers (typically blockchains), cryptoassets encompass various types, including non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Stablecoins and security tokens.

Advantages of Integrating Cryptoassets in the Metaverse:
  1. Interoperability: Cryptoassets provide a universal and standardized mechanism for owning, trading, and transferring digital objects across different virtual worlds. This interoperability fosters a vibrant and interconnected metaverse, enabling users to seamlessly engage with diverse virtual experiences and ecosystems.
  2. Security and Trust: By leveraging blockchain technology, cryptoassets offer transparent ownership records, immutability, and cryptographic security. This ensures verifiable authenticity, eliminates the risk of counterfeit assets, and establishes trust between participants in the metaverse.
  3. Programmability and Smart Contracts: Certain cryptoassets, such as NFTs, possess programmable features enabled by smart contracts. These capabilities empower content creators, developers, and users to automate royalties, licensing agreements, and other dynamic functionalities, unlocking new revenue streams and fostering a thriving digital economy.
  4. Financial Inclusion: Cryptoassets transcend traditional financial barriers, enabling individuals from all corners of the world to participate in the metaverse. They provide a decentralized and inclusive means of ownership, empowering users who may not have access to traditional banking services.
VRCryptoassets.com
ARCryptoassets.com
XRCryptoassets.com

VRCryptoasset.com
ARCryptoasset.com
XRCryptoasset.com

These domains hold tremendous strategic positioning within the emerging metaverse landscape.

Here's why:
  1. Relevance and Expertise: The domain names succinctly convey expertise and specialization in the integration of AR/VR/XR with cryptoassets, positioning your brand as a thought leader and a go-to resource for metaverse enthusiasts, developers, and businesses seeking to navigate this transformative convergence.
  2. Market Capture: These domain names capture targeted traffic from individuals actively searching for information, products, and services related to AR/VR/XR and cryptoassets. These domain names act as powerful magnets, directing organic traffic to your platform and establishing a strong online presence in a competitive market.
  3. Brand Recognition and Trust: Memorable and industry-specific domain names enhance brand recognition, credibility, and trust among your target audience. VRCryptoassets.com, ARCryptoassets.com, and XRCryptoassets.com convey a clear and concise message, immediately associating your brand with the intersection of AR/VR/XR and cryptoassets.
  4. Monetization Opportunities: In addition to serving as a foundation for your primary business objectives, these domain names present diverse monetization opportunities. You can leverage their authority and market relevance to establish partnerships, offer advertising space, provide affiliate marketing opportunities, or even engage in domain resale.
The AR and VR market is experiencing phenomenal growth, with revenue projected to reach an impressive US$31.12 billion in 2023. Furthermore, the industry is expected to exhibit an annual growth rate of 13.72%, culminating in a projected market volume of US$52.05 billion by 2027. As the current market cap of cryptoassets exceeds $1.2 trillion, they have already established themselves as a significant force in the digital economy.

These staggering figures highlight the enormous potential of AR/VR/XR technologies to shape our future digital landscape. As these immersive technologies become more prevalent, there is a growing need for a secure and interoperable infrastructure to own, trade, and transact digital assets within the metaverse.

The difference with you guys that seemingly promote XR is I understand it for what it is. It is a byproduct of Qualcomm.
I am not impressed. I kinda expected what we have been seeing. I have watch as Qualcomm paid somewhat blogs appearing as tech media news sites for promotion of it's creation.

If you want to impress me...
Show me $50k+ total in 'END USER" XR name sales "IN OUR NICHE" in all years time.

You do remember metaXr sale sold to facebook/ meta for $60,000

I can show that for just VR in one year of 2016, 7 years ago and with little hardware/software in the market.
Just because you see it branded, you think there is a demand for it or are anticipating one. But so far, I have not seen anyone who understands exactly what it is that has been buying the XR names.

The fact that all these co's that are branding with the term actually use Qualcomm cpu/gpu XR / XR2 chips should worry you not comfort you, if you are holding at least certain XR names.

The simple fact is that I do not see a lot of use for the term. But notice I did not say any.
When I can see ''END USE BUYERS that can total $100k IN OUR NICHE'', I certainly will need to re-think all that I just said.
Up to this point, it has all been investor speculation. (investor to investor sales)
Not that anyone really cares when they are selling if it is a end user, or if it is selling into our niche, just the money, but if you are trying to measure the actual market, it matters.

The XR platform will be a success, but how far it goes or translates into names remains to be seen. I am watching this the same as you or anyone else. But perhaps even more closely, since I'm not seeing end user names sales in our niche, and that matters.

You do remember metaXr sale sold to facebook/ meta for $60,000

Companies are choosing XR as it represents the space not Qualcomm.

We would have reached much more than the 100k you mentioned (to end users) if we agreed to offered we got 😁

Apple expects to sell between 7 - 10 million units of its headset within the first year. Seems crazy if its price is the widely predicted $3K. But that would totally transform the XR market if it turns out to be true. And then they plan to release a much cheaper version in 2024. Palmer Luckey also Tweeted yesterday that the Apple headset 'is really good'.

You doubt any xr sale as only an investor 🤔
So far, I have not seen many XR sales to end users that are purposed in our niche.

Or you could just show me, but I have spent a good deal of time looking for them.
It's why I keep asking. Show me something different.

What is not to doubt. That is part of what firms my opinion on them.
While you might not think so, I have been looking for some sign it would be something.
I do hold a few select XR names. Have not bought any new ones in 3 years.
If it were a 'reality' itself, this would look different. But as it stands, Qualcomm is using it in place of 'MIXED REALITY'.
https://developer.qualcomm.com/solutions/xr

And it all started in 2018
https://www.qualcomm.com/news/releases/2018/05/qualcomm-reveals-worlds-first-dedicated-xr-platform

"Qualcomm Technologies also announced that Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) Meta, VIVE, Vuzix and Picoare already developing on the first dedicated XR1 platform. "

I expect Apple to unveil the HMD at WWDC, but not be able to deliver it till late in the year and perhaps it is only offered to DEV's at first. Of which, I have been in Apple's dev program almost since it started in 2008.
But their rules would not allow me to produce the apps I wanted to engineer at the time. When that changed a few years later, I had moved on to better things as there were quite a few wanting to do the same. Given the oportunity to get one under the dev program, I will.
In any case,
I believe the second release is actually intended for public consumption and will be better and cheaper.

But what do I know ?
We all wait and see. Only a few weeks.

But the estimate of sales is really hard to judge if what I think is true. I am sure they will sell 1M units WW at that high price before the second is released. No real DEV would be without one(or two) unless they put some kind of limits on it.

I have a feeling, that something similar to this, when applied to Apple R&D, is just what caused the Apple car rumors a few years ago. Apple had asserted all along in answer to the rumors, that it was working with other auto co's for integrating it's tech. But never mentioned them by name.

And so...
The TM squatters are still at it...
https://appleinsider.com/articles/2...os-to-list-of-potential-vr-headset-trademarks

If you overreact to these kinda mis-interpeted rumors, you may find yourself a bit on the poor side.

I await the actual announcement.
There is 'no value' in nudging a tm in names before or even afterward unless you have a good deal of money and a good IP attorney and a fair amount of luck never hurts I guess..
