So far, I have not seen many XR sales to end users that are purposed in our niche.
Or you could just show me, but I have spent a good deal of time looking for them.
It's why I keep asking. Show me something different.
What is not to doubt. That is part of what firms my opinion on them.
While you might not think so, I have been looking for some sign it would be something.
I do hold a few select XR names. Have not bought any new ones in 3 years.
If it were a 'reality' itself, this would look different. But as it stands, Qualcomm is using it in place of 'MIXED REALITY'.

And it all started in 2018
https://www.qualcomm.com/news/releases/2018/05/qualcomm-reveals-worlds-first-dedicated-xr-platform
"Qualcomm Technologies also announced that Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) Meta, VIVE, Vuzix and Picoare already developing on the first dedicated XR1 platform. "
I expect Apple to unveil the HMD at WWDC, but not be able to deliver it till late in the year and perhaps it is only offered to DEV's at first. Of which, I have been in Apple's dev program almost since it started in 2008.
But their rules would not allow me to produce the apps I wanted to engineer at the time. When that changed a few years later, I had moved on to better things as there were quite a few wanting to do the same. Given the oportunity to get one under the dev program, I will.
In any case,
I believe the second release is actually intended for public consumption and will be better and cheaper.
But what do I know ?
We all wait and see. Only a few weeks.
But the estimate of sales is really hard to judge if what I think is true. I am sure they will sell 1M units WW at that high price before the second is released. No real DEV would be without one(or two) unless they put some kind of limits on it.
