Oct 30 - Flippa will enact a limit of one free relist per Domain auction.

From: http://flippa.com/blog/changes-to-unlimited-free-relisting-for-domains/

At the beginning of this year, we made the commitment to you to offer free relisting for domain auctions. It was great to begin with, so much so that it went from a limited-run promotion to “the norm.” It seemed like a win-win: we dramatically increased our inventory and sellers loved it!

However, like too much of a good thing is prone to do, it’s become clear that offering unlimited free relisting is no longer in the best interest of the marketplace. The results of this weren’t immediately evident, but after some long tail analysis and insightful feedback from all of you, it’s clear that our platform is less effective when it doesn’t cost anything to relist.

This is why, effective on the 30th October 2015 (AEST), Flippa will enact a limit of one free relist per Domain auction. After that, the listing fee is half price of the original listing ($4.50 in most cases).

At any point, you may relist an ended domain auction as a free Portfolio listing, by using the easy link in the Seller Action bar on any listing. As a Portfolio listing, it stays active on the site for an unlimited amount of time and has the ability to accept or reject offers received.

Flippa is committed to maintaining a healthy and fair marketplace to buy and sell domains.

Any questions, queries or comments about this change, please feel free to share here or for more detailed insights into your account, please email [email protected].

Flippa is doing great by upgrading everything !!!

I have a thought I don't know its right or wrong but after latest update of not giving free 9$ credits many garbage things will get kicked out which is very good thing. Also all basic auction's listings would get maximum exposure. Means it will result in most people will not go for Premium listings and less revenue will be generated for Flippa.

Before 1 Nov, 7.5k+ live auctions, 7.1k now.
Hope 1 Dec will be different, expect 3-4k :)

I find the biggest problem to be searching from mobile.. The orange section closes when I tap the search box so i have to use advanced search.

I hear you.

We're focused on the main site now and predict that the next wave of changes will look and function better than ever.

The app is a whole separate bag and will be addressed as well.

I think the search is such a key feature that it should just be moved to a permanent spot under the current the Orange section.. Just my two cents.

This has been updated. Thanks for pointing it out!

Just to nitpick even more,
https://flippa.com/why-sell-on-flippa and https://flippa.com/pricing still say "free standard relists"

Your banner on http://www.namebio.com still says "Relist unsold auctions FREE" which I suppose is still correct. Using the "+1 free relisting" verbiage you use on https://flippa.com/sell might be a little clearer and would remove the negative "unsold" word from your ad.

On that same train of thought, who thought of calling a commission a "success fee?"

Oh, looking at https://flippa.com/about it was probably Taco.

Just call it a commission like you do on your ads! Success fee sounds like a used car salesman trying to squeeze in an extra fee without you realizing it.

Flippa: the price search is kind of borked. You can't put a maximum price to look for "Buy it Now" listings, it only uses the max price you entered to filter by bidding prices (which are less than $50 most of the time, so it's really a useless filter as implemented).
