if you use namebright.com, maybe you will can't login your namebright account in future In your country!


namebright.com two-step verification system have bug ,some country user can't receive 7 Digit Code or call after set two-step verification. cause can't login account.

namebright still can't solve this bug and problem,I can't receive 7 Digit Code or call after set two-step verification. I still can't login my namebright account!

this bug maybe contain your country. you will can't login your namebright account.and they refused to fix this problem and bug.


maybe next can't login namebright account people is you!

because It's not the first time namebright's two-step verification system has this bug and problem.

you will can't login account, can't renew domain, once your domain expired, your domain will be put pre-release auction on dropcatch.com. dropcatch.com and namebright.com is the same company.

If you have an issue logging in, it doesn't mean that you are losing your domains. You can contact their support and I'm sure you can get back after verifying your identity.

The red font is not necessary. We get your points and do not have to remove our names from NameBright simply because you chose not to have matching addresses. Sorry but its your doing.

Your time would be better spent calling NameBright who are the ones who can actually assist you.

You should have been sure that you would be able to provide government issued ID that matches your contact address.
Two factor authentication is made precisely to add another layer of security. This precisely prevents social engineering account hijacking.
If somebody takes control of your user/password and tries to access your account, they still have to pass the 2FA. Then, if the hijacker just email Namebright to bypass the 2FA without any proof of ID verification that matches your contact info, then that's a social engineering hijack of your account.
Now you have to manage how to authenticate your account sending them some kind of proof of your office contact address.
Again, the worrying would be if they just let you enter into your account without your 2FA and without any proof of your account contact address ID.
If you can try to make a call to Namebright from your Namebright phone number, I think that should work. Or if they can call you to your Namebright phone number to authenticate your identity.
Just trying to think about a solution.

this type of experience when buying a domain name from Name Bright?

No, but...

"DomainFalcon LLC is included in the list of current ICANN-accredited registrars." Looks to be legit & affiliated with Namebright, but you should be asking Namebright, not some schlub on a domaining forum.

I can supply my Government Issued Photo Identification Card and notarize my cellphone num. and notarize this form except provide submit two poof of address documents for proof my registrant contact address.

because my registrant contact address is my office address, different with my government ID address,
casue I can not provide my offic address proof documents.
Can you call them from your phone number that is in your Namebright account?
Or ask them to call you, to your phone number that is in your account? That may be a solution to verify your identity.

I also ask namebright call meverify my cellphone, but namebright also refuse call me verify my cellphone.
Then I think that you must focus on providing the documents they need to verify your account. Sorry because I am not from Namebright to help you more in this matter.
I hope you finally take control of your account soon.

before park.io have the same proble, I only sent email to park.io support, park.io delete my account two-step verification Immediate.

but now namebright caused me many troubles!

Probably your phone number to blame then.

and godaddy.com also have the same problem about two-step verification. china user can't receive two-step verification code. godaddy already solved this problem later.

but namebright refuse solve this bug and problem. they only ask you fill forms and notarized.you can see this form, this form will caused you many troubles!!!

What a bad system? that's how you do your business?

Suspected that was the case. They can't help it. Blame it on the Chinese operators.

That being said, if they take on China located clients they should be aware of the issue with texts.

You can also submit a complaint to ICANN if the issue is critical and you are not getting any assistance from your domain registrar. You can check ICANN site for more information.

I am china user. my cellphone is the right format at namebright, because I can receive two-step verification code sent by namebright before, but now I can't receive namebright's sms code.

and my cellphone is ok, other site two-step verification sms I can receive it successful.

We don't know the specifics of that issue. Some people are bound to experience issues, statistically. If you cannot verify your identity in another way there is always a risk in using 2FA. That's why I always keep Auth codes on file in case somehow someway it stops working.

As for your specific case. It's most likely it has to to with the fact that you use a Chinese phone number. Makes sense as you experienced the issue on multiple platforms, keeping in mind the way Chinese networks and operators work.

I know it sucks but if it was easy to lift 2FA there's no point in using it.

Look, I'm not defending NB, just giving you info on what most probably is going on so you can take that up with them. They might be able to manually send that text.

Today I'm having an issue with Namebright. I'm unable to use my balance in my funded account.
UPDATE: The problem was due to a transfer "bundle" which when split up, solved the issue.

Yet still the PayPal option has disappeared from the list of funding sources.

To me it appears that NB has removed the PayPal option.

P.S.: I don't subscribe to the "sentiment" of the thread title here.

This could potentially become a major issue (for me). I can find no PayPal logo anywhere on the Namebright website. Furthermore, the only other options for funding an account are bank wire or checks, checks requiring a $100 minimum. Suddenly I fear a horrific eNom kind of scenario. At best, I'd have to eat crow and kiss the "at cost" savings goodbye -- which realistically were a pittance when you factor in the 3% PayPal transaction fee charged by Namebright. :xf.confused:
