The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Sedo is ok but they are a bit low on pay per click. But they do make fast payments which is nice.

Only use SedoPro, if you can get accepted - otherwise regular Sedo's payments are lackluster.

But still, all in all, SedoPro is not That great.

You guys certainly give sedo a hard time. Personally i think their features are great. As for revenue, mine has dropped by around 50% at Parked even with adding other domains to try and offset the losses, so not so bang hot there either nowadays. I did move one domain doing zero on Parked to Sedo where it became my highest paying revenue earner. I know people tell us that parking is dead and to develop, but it seems to me that even when you develop, the revenue in most cases is only a few cents a day so why bother? Perhaps its different with a stunning adult site where people will pay for membership or you are selling something that people want from your site? Anyway, just the ramblings from an old bugger!!!

I've been using Sedo and Parked for many years and nothing has ever changed. Parked has always kicked their ass. I still do occasional tests there, so I am sure nothing has changed.

The only types of domains where there *might" be a chance of better earnings usually is adult or foreign domains.

Good features of a parking system are nice to have but it is all about the $$$ though is it not? Parked's interface is by far and away the best in the industry and much better than Sedo. Parked has 18,000 photos. How many does Sedo have .......300 max?
.
Well, things have certainly changed for me...revenue way way down and has been that way for a few months..have been receiving .01c clicks lately and no, not just on adult names...never had those before. My two better revenue names nowadays on parked are my foreign names (Spanish) so doesn't seem to confirm what you are saying that foreign names "might" do better on sedo. Are we talking about foreign names(non english) or names with foreign traffic or both? Is Tokyo a foreign name? I find that domains with traffic from India do next to nothing or nothing. Adult names have always done dismal on parked and yes do better on sedo in most cases.

Found SEDO good for sales, poor for everything else, when compared to specialist parking companies.

There is no clear winner when it comes to performance. If you park with the top companies there will always be domains that perform better at one service over the other. It just comes down to micro managing your portfolio to get the best performance out of every single domain.

Now despite various other flaws, SEDO is one of the top 3 in terms of performance. I know this because with 99% of portfolios managed though our system, SEDO always floats to the top. It just takes time.

The problem is that if you are testing a Google based service such as SEDO and your account is NEW, chances are that any Yahoo based parking company will do better. We see the same pattern across all the Google based services. My theory is that it has nothing to do with the parking company, rather Google's smart pricing is discounting the traffic until the account has been vetted. A process that can take several weeks.

Also keep in mind that parking companies need time to optimize domains.

My advice, be smarter about how you test new parking services.

I've started parking some domains for the first time. I started with Sedo and I find the UI very annoying and illogical. Maybe it is me but:
1. Can you only add 1 domain at a time to a "portfolio?" Sure looks that way.
2. In "Domain Management>Optimize Parking" there is no sort by "alphabetic order" option. I assume that is the default but sometimes after I change a keyword (a valid one) that domain does not display in the same spot and I have to go to another page to find it.
3. I know that domains with invalid keywords list at the very beginning of the section but for a class of strongly related domains, I'll have the identical keyword string work fine for most of the domain class but a few won't and I have to delete these domains and then re-add them.
4. Some places you can only list 100 domains max, others 200 max and when you do change the number of items viewed, you get kicked back to the default view.

Basically a buffoon (or a team of) designed/maintain the Sedo site and they need to revamp BIGTIME!
I'm giving parked and whypark a try. I am also developing some sites, with blogs, and will probably add adsense after they've grown some. I'm thinking the only reason to park a domain at SEDO is if you want to sell it for less than $300 and the "10% fee instead of $50 min" is worth it. If you think you can get $300 to $500 for a domain, might as well park it someplace else and make more parking revenue. If you think you can get more than $500 for it, you'll be paying $50 or more to SEDO anyway so you might as well park it elsewhere.

Hi,
would you mind telling us what your average $ per click is at Sedo ?
I hav'nt used Sedo parking for about 6 months or so but mine worked out at 0.09c per click back then.

I've used Sedo over the years, but have gradually stoped using it all together lately. I agree with a previous reply, pretty good for sales, but pretty bad for everything else...

Better Namedrive or Parked than Sedo.
Sedo is good for selling domains and for parked domains with a low PPC

Um, when some of you say you get .01c or .09c per click - do you really mean 1 cent or 9 cents or are you really getting paid "fractional cents" aka .01c = 1/100th of a penny and .09c = 9/100ths of a penny?

I only know about Sedo that it is a marketplaces for buying and selling domain names and websites. You can buy, sell or park domain names using this website. It has over 5 million domains on sale and many websites have found their names on this site.

If you are looking to sell your names than Sedo is the Best option cause when domains are parked at Sedo and recieve offers than you only have to pay 10% comission fees and no minimum like...

Suppose your domain "XYZ.com" is parked at Sedo and recieves an offer of 200$ than you have to pay only 20$ as comission otherwise its 50$ which is the minimum comission....
